Step It Up FAQs
Question 1
MY WATCH ISN’T SHOWING THE CORRECT INFORMATION, WHAT DO I DO?
Step It Up could get out of sync on the Apple Watch. In order to fix this just tap the Settings gear on the iPhone app, and then go back to Today. This forces the app to sync to the Watch. Secondly, if that does not work make sure the Health app has permission to sync with Step It Up.
Question 2
HOW DO I CHECK TO SEE IF THE HEALTH APP IS SYNCING WITH STEP IT UP?
To check if Step It Up is allowed to sync with the Health app, open the Health app on your iPhone. Then tap on your Profile in the upper-right-hand corner on the iPhone, it could be your iCloud picture, your Medical ID picture, or a picture of a silhouette of a person. Then tap, Apps under the Privacy section. Next, find Step It Up in the list. Tap on Step It Up, then tap “Turn All Categories Off.”
Question 3
DOES STEP IT UP WORK ON THE IPAD?
No, Step It Up does not work on the iPad. The frameworks Step It Up requires to work are not available on the iPad. Additionally, I hope you not too many people are going for walks with an iPad.
Question 4
MY STEPS ARE DIFFERENT ON THE WATCH VS. THE PHONE
Yes, this occurs because the Watch only syncs to the phone, the phone does not send back data to the Watch when it comes to step counts. This is to save battery life on your Watch. If you do not wear your Watch all day, then think of your phone as the source of truth.
